Planning and Designing a Clean Room
The planning and design stage is a fundamental part of our know-how, expertise and specialisation. We have introduced innovative features, notably the “Comfort Rate“, which classifies the comfort experienced by operators, because greater comfort means increased productivity.
In addition, we design our Clean Rooms in a way that allows their size and performance to be adapted over time.

Requirements for planning and designing a Clean Room
The requirements that the Clean Room must satisfy are established before serving as a guide during the planning and design stage. First and foremost, the regulations in force, then the company’s process flows: the Clean Room must integrate smoothly and efficiently into its setting, where machinery, operators, cleaning cycles and material input/output are present. The aim is always to create a turnkey product that is operational right away.
Design criteria for a Clean Room
Design, layout and construction specifications, which must take into account the relevant sector (including materials involved, for example), are established.
Other fundamental criteria that the Clean Room must satisfy are also considered, including:
- Modularity of the layout
- Expandability in terms of size
- Scalability in terms of classification (ISO levels)
Standards for Clean Rooms
Each design follows the guidelines for Clean Rooms, which are set out in the international ISO 14644 standard.
There are also other standards that are applicable in certain cases, such as the American Federal Standard and the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) for the pharmaceutical sector.
